How do I upload a Custom Font to Canva?

Why Use Canva?

The great thing about Canva is that you can start using it for free. It is an app and web-based graphic design platform. I love it for social media posts! It has templates to choose from. If you are like me and get lost on what to post to your social media, this is the tool for you. I love it so much I upgraded to the paid version! The paid version is fairly budget-friendly and adds additional features like pro-level stock images, fonts, and brand kit. The brand kit is where you can add custom font and what I will be showing you today. The best thing about Canva is that it is good for all skill levels to use!

How do I add my custom font?

First, you will need to subscribe to Canva Pro. If you are not sure if you will like the pro version, it has a 30-day free trial, so why not? Once you have pro you just have to follow these steps:

  1. Open a project
  2. Select a text area
  3. Click the font dropdown
  4. Click “Upload a font” at the bottom of the list
  5. Click “Upload a new font” from your brand kit page
  6. Select your font (make sure it’s the font file and not the zipped folder)

Once you have the font uploaded just go back to the project, refresh and the new font will be under “uploaded fonts”! It’s that simple.
